PLN Discusses Plans for Gasification Infrastructure Development in Tarakan to Improve Electricity Reliability
Jakarta, 10 September 2024 – An important coordination meeting attended by a number of relevant officials was held at the Tarakan Mayor’s office. Attendees included the CEO of PLN Energi Gas, Mr. Moh. Riza Affiandi; the Acting Mayor of Tarakan, Mr. Bustan; the Head of the North Kalimantan State Intelligence Agency, Mr. Andri Murhadi; and the Manager of PLN UP3 Kaltara, Mr. Arief Prastyanto.
The meeting discussed plans to build gasification infrastructure for a PLN power plant in Gunung Belah, Tarakan. This project aims to improve the reliability of the electricity system in the Tarakan area, thereby better and more consistently meeting the community’s electricity needs.
With more modern and efficient infrastructure, it is hoped that the electricity supply in Tarakan and the surrounding areas will become more reliable, support regional economic growth, and provide long-term benefits for the community. This project is also part of PLN’s commitment to strengthening the energy sector throughout Indonesia.
“We hope for the full support of all parties, both the local government and the community so that this development plan can proceed smoothly and be realized as soon as possible.
