PLN Energi Gas CEO Wins 2026 Energy Executive Award as a Visionary Leader in Building National Gas Infrastructure

Jakarta, 22 July 2026 – The CEO of PT PLN Energi Gas (PLN EG), Edwin Bangun, received the 2026 Energy Executive Award in the category of “Visionary Leader in Building National Gas Infrastructure” at the 2026 Energy Executive Award ceremony organized by Listrik Indonesia Magazine at the Assembly Hall of the Jakarta International Convention Center (JICC) in Jakarta on Wednesday (July 22). This award recognizes his visionary leadership, innovation, and tangible contributions in driving the development of national gas infrastructure as part of strengthening energy security and supporting a sustainable energy transition in Indonesia.

The award acknowledges his consistent leadership in steering the business transformation of PLN Energi Gas as a national midstream gas company that continues to strengthen the reliability of energy supply through the development of natural gas and LNG infrastructure. Various strategic projects undertaken by the company help support the provision of cleaner, more efficient, and more reliable energy for the electricity sector and support the national energy transition agenda.

The 2026 Energy Executive Award event carried the theme “Leadership Towards Energy Sustainability” and recognized energy sector leaders deemed to have a proven track record of leadership, innovation, and contributions to the development of the energy sector and sustainability in Indonesia. The evaluation process was conducted by a panel of experts based on various indicators, including leadership, innovation, business sustainability, and contributions to national energy transformation.
