PLN Energi Gas Conducts Site Visit to Gorontalo FSRU to Ensure Reliability of Energy Supply

Gorontalo, 11 March 2025 – As part of the company’s efforts to ensure the reliability of the energy supply in preparation for Eid al-Fitr, as well as the smooth operation of strategic projects, PT PLN Energi Gas (PLN EG) conducted a site visit to the Gorontalo Floating Storage Regasification Unit (FSRU). The event was attended by the Acting President Director of PLN EG, the Acting Director of Finance and Human Resources, the Corporate Secretary, company management, and relevant strategic partners.

The purpose of this site visit was to monitor the project’s progress and evaluate the operational readiness of the Gorontalo FSRU in supporting energy needs leading up to Eid al-Fitr. The visit began with a presentation on the project, followed by an on-site inspection of the FSRU’s key facilities, including the LNG storage system, the regasification process, and gas distribution to power plants. This inspection was conducted to ensure that all infrastructure is operating optimally, safely, and in accordance with industry standards.

PLN EG’s Acting President Director, Mr. Edwin Bangun, stated that the Gorontalo FSRU is part of the company’s strategy to enhance national energy security. “We are committed to continuing to innovate and collaborate to provide reliable, efficient, and sustainable energy solutions for the community.” With this visit, PLN Energi Gas hopes that the Gorontalo FSRU project will continue to benefit the community and support regional economic growth.
