PLN Energi Gas Donates Healthcare Equipment, MTQ Facilities, and Clean Water to Balai Pungut Village

Balai Pungut, 21 May 2025 – As part of the company’s commitment to supporting community and environmental development in the areas surrounding its operations, PT PLN Energi Gas (PLN EG) donated a number of facilities and infrastructure to the community of Balai Pungut Village, Riau.

The assistance provided includes support equipment for the Auxiliary Health Center (Pustu), facilities for the Musabaqah Tilawatil Qur’an (MTQ) competition, and the construction of clean water facilities using drilled wells at two locations. This donation is part of PLN Energi Gas’s Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program, carried out in collaboration with the Mandau Military Sub-District Command (Koramil 03/Mandau), specifically for the MTQ program and the construction of borehole wells.

Present at the event were members of PLN EG’s management team, including the Corporate Secretary, the Manager of Secretariat and Stakeholder Management, the Manager of Technical Operations and Maintenance at the Tanjung Batu Unit (UTB), the Manager of ULPLTMG Duri at PT PLN Nusantara Power, along with the technical team. Also present were the Commander of Koramil 03/Mandau, Mr. Suratnim, along with his staff, as well as the Secretary of Balai Pungut Village, representing the village government.

This event focused on the direct handover of aid to the village government, accompanied by a casual discussion regarding the sustainability of programs that have been or will be implemented. The Village Head and the Mandau Military District Commander expressed their appreciation for PLN EG’s concern and tangible contributions in supporting the community’s needs, particularly in the areas of health, social and religious activities, and access to clean water.

In her remarks, the Corporate Secretary of PLN Energi Gas, Ms. Evi, stated that PLN Energi Gas will continue to collaborate with various parties to provide sustainable benefits to the surrounding community. “Through targeted TJSL programs, we hope to continue actively contributing to improving community welfare and promoting development,” she said.
