PLN Energi Gas Launches the PESAT–BP Program to Enhance the Skills and Employment Opportunities of the Balai Pungut Community
Jakarta, 20 April 2026 – PLN Energi Gas, a subsidiary of PLN Energi Primer Indonesia, has once again demonstrated its commitment to supporting the improvement of human resources through its Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program with the PESAT–BP (Integrated Skills Development and Certification – Balai Pungut) Program in the operational area of OM CNG Duri. This program is the result of a collaboration with PLN Nusantara Power ULPLTG/MG Duri, focusing on providing General Occupational Safety and Health (K3) training and certification for the residents of Balai Pungut Village.
This program was initiated in response to social mapping findings that revealed limited employment opportunities, particularly for associate’s and bachelor’s degree holders in Balai Pungut Village. Through this initiative, PLN Energi Gas aims to provide value-added skills relevant to industry needs, thereby equipping the younger generation with better preparedness and competitiveness as they enter the workforce.
PLN Energi Gas Corporate Secretary Elok Faiqoh Saptining Ratri stated that this program is part of the company’s commitment to delivering sustainable benefits to the community. “The PESAT-BP program represents PLN Energi Gas’s TJSL commitment in the field of education as a response to the social mapping results. Through the General Occupational Safety and Health (K3) certification, we hope the younger generation will gain added value that can open up job opportunities and have a tangible impact on improving the welfare and economy of Balai Pungut Village,” said Elok.
Meanwhile, Amirul Akbar Rosadi, TLK3L at PLN Nusantara Power ULPLTG/MG Duri, highlighted the participants’ enthusiasm throughout the training. “We observed the participants’ commitment and dedication in following every stage of the General Occupational Safety and Health (K3) training and certification. This demonstrates their readiness to meet industry needs. With these competencies, the company’s opportunities to hire workers from Balai Pungut Village are increasingly open,” he explained.
The implementation of this program received a positive response from the community, as evidenced by the high level of participation and the enthusiasm of the participants in taking part in the entire series of activities. It is hoped that, through the certifications they have earned, the participants can improve their employment opportunities while contributing to the sustainable economic growth of their villages.
PLN Energi Gas remains committed to delivering targeted TJSL programs that yield tangible results through collaboration with various stakeholders. The PESAT–BP program is expected to serve as a strategic step toward developing a workforce that is highly skilled, professional, and ready to compete in the industrial sector.
