PLN Energi Gas Strengthens National Gas Infrastructure, Saves Rp1.1 Trillion per Year

Jakarta, 22 January 2025 – PT PLN Energi Gas (PLN EG), a subsidiary of PT PLN Energi Primer Indonesia (PLN EPI), participated in the Corporate Exposure Press Briefing organized by PLN EPI today. This event aimed to strengthen relationships with the media as strategic partners, while also outlining the company’s initiatives to support energy sustainability through the provision of reliable and efficient gas infrastructure.

In her presentation, Evi Purnama Sari, Corporate Secretary of PLN EG, outlined several initiatives set to be implemented to support the energy sector, one of which is the operation of the 48.3-km Tanjung Batu Gas Pipeline in Samarinda, East Kalimantan. This infrastructure replaces the use of HSD, with projected savings on base electricity costs of up to Rp1.1 trillion per year. PLN EG is also carrying out the Gorontalo FSRU Gasification project, which has been operational since February 2022.

“We believe that efficient management of gas resources will be key to achieving energy sustainability that supports national economic growth,” said Evi Purnama Sari during the event.
