Manado, 10\u201311 July 2023<\/b> \u2014 The Chair and members of the 2023 PLN GG TJSL Team visited the Manado and Gorontalo Natural Resources Conservation Agencies (BKSDA) to discuss the concept of a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) for the implementation of ecosystem restoration and conservation efforts in the Panua Nature Reserve. Currently, many companies around the world and in Indonesia are beginning to implement ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) standards in their business activities. In every action and decision, companies must now prioritize the principles of environmental stewardship, social responsibility, good governance, and compliance with applicable laws.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

This stakeholder visit marks the first step for both parties in implementing the cooperation between the North Sulawesi Natural Resources Conservation Agency (BKSDA) and PT PLN Gas & Geothermal to carry out the program previously planned at the BKSDA Gorontalo office. ESG standards and concepts are currently widely adopted by both global and regional investors, following the introduction of Sustainable Finance to the industry.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

The visit to the Head of the North Sulawesi KSDA Office was also attended by a member of the TJSL advisory board (Corporate Secretary), the Licensing Division, and several other key figures. \u201cESG practices are outlined in OJK Regulation (POJK) No. 51\/POJK.03\/2017 on the Implementation of Sustainable Finance for Financial Services Institutions, Issuers, and Public Companies. Currently, ESG criteria have become a fundamental consideration for investors when deciding whether or not to invest in a particular company,\u201d said Raka.<\/p>\n\n

\u201cToday, PT PLN Gas & Geothermal and the North Sulawesi Natural Resources Conservation Agency (BKSDA) are committed to developing a Program Implementation Plan (RPP) and an Annual Program Plan (RKT) for the Ecosystem Restoration and Conservation of the Panua Nature Reserve, which will later be formalized in a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) to support the strengthening of conservation area functions, particularly the (SM) for the Maleo Bird, which is now facing ongoing extinction. For your information, the Cooperation Agreement is planned for a 3-year term based on mutual respect, appreciation, trust, and mutual benefit, and is guided by applicable laws and regulations; it may be extended based on the agreement of the Parties and the results of an evaluation by a team from the Directorate General of KSDAE and the Parties,\u201d said M.
