PT PLN Energi Gas and PLN Nusantara Power ULPLTG/MG Duri have officially launched a collaborative Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program titled BUGAR RAMA
Bengkalis, 19 November 2025 — PT PLN Energi Gas and PLN Nusantara Power ULPLTG/MG Duri officially launched a collaborative Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program titled BUGAR RAMA (Gurame Fish Farming – Community Development), located in Balai Pungut Village, Bengkalis District, Riau. This program is a tangible manifestation of PLN’s commitment to supporting community economic self-reliance through the development of the freshwater fisheries sector.
The inauguration ceremony and handover of the aquaculture facilities were attended by PLN Energi Gas’s Manager of Corporate Communications & Stakeholder Management, Ms. Annisa Melda, and the Manager of PLN NP ULPLTG/MG Duri, Mr. Alfurqan Halim. Also present were the Secretary of Balai Pungut Village, representing local stakeholders, and all members of the Serai Serumpun Group, led by Mr. Wahidin.
Through this program, PLN Energi Gas and PLN NP ULPLTG/MG Duri not only provided facilities and infrastructure for gurame and freshwater fish farming but also offered technical training on fish farming and the production of homemade fish feed. The training was led by an expert from the Bogor Agricultural University (IPB), Dr. Bramada Winiar Putra, S.Pt., M.Si, who equipped group members with the knowledge and skills to improve productivity and ensure the sustainability of their businesses.
PLN Energi Gas’s Manager of Corporate Communications & Stakeholder Management, Ms. Annisa Melda, stated that this program represents the company’s commitment to promoting community well-being through the utilization of local potential.
“We hope the BUGAR RAMA Program can serve as a catalyst for the residents of Balai Pungut Village to enhance their economic capacity through aquaculture. This collaboration reflects our commitment to not only serve as an energy provider but also as a partner in community empowerment,” she said.
The Manager of PLN NP ULPLTG/MG Duri, Mr. Alfurqan Halim, also emphasized the importance of synergy among PLN units in delivering sustainable benefits.
“Through this collaborative TJSL program, we want to ensure that the community receives adequate facilities as well as technical skills so that these aquaculture activities can run independently and productively.”
The head of the Serai Serumpun Group, Mr. Wahidin, expressed his appreciation and high hopes for this program.
“The assistance and training provided by PLN are very meaningful to our group. This is the first step toward improving the community’s economy through more modern and targeted gurame farming.”
With the implementation of the BUGAR RAMA Program, PLN hopes that the community can optimally develop local fisheries potential, improve living standards, and strengthen economic resilience at the village level. This program also serves as the company’s contribution to achieving ESG principles, particularly in the social and environmental pillars.
