Supporting National Energy Security, PLN Energi Gas’s Board of Commissioners and Board of Directors Inspect the Tarakan LNG Proje
Tarakan, 12 December 2025 – The Board of Commissioners and the Board of Directors of PT PLN Energi Gas conducted a site visit to the Tarakan LNG Storage and Regasification Facility Project, located at the project site, on Friday (12/12). This activity is part of efforts to strengthen corporate governance and provide direct oversight of the implementation of the company’s strategic projects.
The site visit was attended by members of the Board of Commissioners, consisting of the Chairman of the Board of Commissioners, Commissioners, and the Board of Commissioners’ Committee. Also present were members of the PLN Energi Gas Board of Directors namely the President Director, Director of Operations, and Director of Finance and Human Resources along with relevant PLN Energi Gas management personnel.
During the event, the Executive Board of PLN Energi Gas provided a comprehensive overview of the business processes for the Tarakan LNG Storage and Regasification Facility Project to the Board of Commissioners. The presentation covered the project’s technical aspects, operational workflows, and the strategic role of the LNG facility in supporting the reliability of energy supply, particularly for power plants in the Tarakan region.
Edwin Bangun, Acting President Director of PLN Energi Gas, stated that this site visit served as an important opportunity to ensure a shared understanding between the Board of Directors and the Board of Commissioners regarding the implementation of the company’s strategic projects.
“Through this site visit, we are directly introducing the business processes of the Tarakan LNG Storage and Regasification Facility Project to the Board of Commissioners, while also ensuring the project proceeds in accordance with the plan, safety standards, and the principles of good corporate governance,” said Edwin.
Meanwhile, Acting Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of PLN Energi Gas, Bayu Satria Pratama, emphasized the importance of the Board of Commissioners’ oversight and support for the company’s strategic projects.
“This site visit provided a comprehensive overview of the project’s progress and readiness. The Board of Commissioners is committed to continuing its oversight role to ensure this project runs smoothly and delivers optimal benefits for the sustainability of energy supply,” Bayu explained.
In addition to the presentation, the Board of Commissioners and the Board of Directors also conducted a direct inspection of the project facility area to ensure that all stages of the work are proceeding in accordance with the plan, occupational safety regulations, and the implementation of Good Corporate Governance.
